Mom Has Cancer, Now What?

Mommy is sick. What does that mean to you? How does that make you feel? What kind of questions do you have? Do you understand death? Explain it to me. How does that make you feel? Can you think of anything you would like to ask? A child struggling with the illness of a primary parent, may not show exact signs that he has questions about the illness, or that he is frightened. My own child struggles at school. She cannot focus and has the attention span of a gnat. Since our last doctor visit, she became more clingy. Wanting to share a bed, share food, you name it, we share it. These are the outward signs of struggling to deal with the medical crisis, in our case, mom has blood cancer. So, Mom Has Cancer, Now What? A series of conversations about being a mother with a terminal cancer. I want to influence mothers everywhere, to know that there are more of us. We are a team! We need to use our voices to expand medical care to mothers with cancer. We already have a huge responsibility, organizing our home, taking care of others...and now, here we are, facing an uphill battle. To fight this horrible disease, and live out our lives with our children. As I expand on this series, please be patient. I have been writing it for a couple of years. Part 2 will be posted after this...thank you for reading.
